The price is right!

"When do you start shopping for presents for the holidays?" - Anon

Well, as weird as this might sound, I usually start somewhere around September. Just think about it. All the Labor day sales and such going on, why not save yourself some money and grab some well priced items around that time of year and simply hide stuff in closets and such until the holiday season comes around?

Honestly, I've been known to shop for Christmas stuff a few days after Christmas. You walk into all the super markets and dollar stores after Christmas; think of all the clearance items! Wrapping paper, bows, ribbons, plushies, little holiday scented candles and bath sprays. Think about how much you are saving in the long run by just grabbing stuff when it's on clearance? I mean, I'm no cheapskate, but in this economy you gotta save it when you can and every little scent truly helps.

But I start shopping, pretty much year round I would say. If I see a really good deal on something someone i know would want and love, if I have the money to spare at the time, I usually pick it up for them.
