"With a month to go, what are your plans for Christmas?" - Anon
Well, usually my plans for Christmas don't happen directly on Christmas. For the most part I've just spent my Christmas spending time with whomever I'm dating/living with at the time but for the first time in a few years now, it doesn't look as if I'll even be doing that this year. My family lives an hours drive away so it's tricky to go and see them (especially if the weather is not favorable), so it's not always doable.
As far as my plans for this Christmas goes though, I do hope to see my boyfriend and go visit at least my mother if not my father as well. I want to bring my boyfriend home for the holidays, especially since he hasn't always had the nicest of holidays, I want him to feel special and enjoy the loving feeling I've always found the holidays to encompass. I want him to feel like he's part of a loving family (which he now is). I may not be able to actually accomplish all this on the 25th, but around the time of Christmas is when I plan to do all this.
I personally work Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I work at an Amazon.com warehouse so there is no time off for us, especially around our busiest season of the year. Although, I'm pretty sure i'll be getting holiday pay for working both those days since they just so happen to fall on my normal shifts, so I guess I really can't complain all that much.
