Well, I managed to borrow the car from one of my roommates who wasn't doing anything this year around and I went and picked up my boyfriend and we headed over to my mother's house for dinner. It was really nice to be able to bring my BF around during the holidays (even though he really isn't a big food holiday person).
My mom made all the usuals turkey, stuffing, cranberry jelly, mashed potatoes, peas, broccoli and cauliflower casserole, green bean casserole, sweet potato bake, and biscuits. Which is amusing because I don't eat the first three things I named on that list. Isn't that horrible? The main three things people normally associate being at thanksgiving dinner and I don't eat them. I've never liked turkey ever since I was little. I hate the texture and mushiness of stuffing, and cranberry jelly is just... odd. I really don't know what I'm supposed to do with it.
But all in all, we had a pleasant time. The dogs got to eat the scraps after they spent the entire time begging at the table despite my mother telling them to go lie down. It was a good chance to see my boyfriend and spend a little bit of time with him. It was nice ^_^
